All day parking in Gloucester is amongst the cheapest in the region – meaning visitors can ‘stay longer and enjoy more.’
With the tourist season about to start that’s the message from city council leader, Paul James. He said: “Last year we introduced new short term parking prices of £2 for two hours and £4 for four hours. We also slashed all day parking from £20 to £10.
“Now we have reduced all day prices even further – to just £6. That makes us one of the cheapest places to visit for the day in the region.
“With the tourist season about to start this is the sort of help we are providing to the local economy to encourage people to come and enjoy all that we have to offer. Not just our visitor attractions but the array of shops and markets that we have as well.
“Our car parks are all patrolled so people can leave their vehicles and feel safe and comfortable while they stay longer and enjoy more of our fabulous 21st century city.
“We are also busy with a programmeof quality upgrades of our car parks and have already spruced up Hare Lane and Eastgate Rooftop car parks with more to follow.”
Comparable all day parking prices are:
Oxford - £21.90
Bristol - £15.00
Cheltenham- £14.00
